Why We Give

As believers, we give because God has given so much to us. He doesn't need our money, but He does want what it represents: our purposes, passions, and priorities. We give to make a Kingdom impact locally in Aberdeen, across the country, and globally through mission efforts. We give to increase the Kingdom through our generosity so that others may come to know Jesus and grow in relationship with Him.

Giving to Arise

We give out of gratitude and love, not in order to be blessed nor for fear of anything negative in our lives. None of the work we do at our church would be possible without God moving the hearts of our people to give. Your generosity helps to create a church where people feel welcomed, led, and loved—a place where life-changing stories are being written every week. Where We Give

Locally

Arise believes in creating opportunities to serve and bless our city. Fifty percent of your financial contributions stay in the Aberdeen area, enabling us to do the work that God has called us to in our community. Your generous donations support specific ministries within our radius, as well as Arise's own initiatives.

Regionally

Our goal is to model service, teaching, guidance, and local help within the Prairie Lakes District of Nazarene churches (spread throughout the Dakotas and Minnesota). Our connections are very dear to us, and we want to continue to help where we can. Fifteen percent of your financial contributions goes toward district needs and denominational outreach that ultimately impacts the world through various local, regional, and global missions and programs.

Globally

When Jesus commissioned his disciples before His ascension, He said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20a NIV) We at Arise take this command of making disciples in all nations very seriously, which leads us to giving thirty-five percent of your tithes and offerings to the work God is doing globally. We support missionaries sent from our denomination, as well as global partnerships, who are all living out Jesus' great commission.
